LSU's first high-performance marketing club. We cover the full spectrum — brand strategy, content, paid media, analytics, campaigns, and beyond. Everyone's welcome.
Minorities in Marketing at LSU was founded on a simple observation: too many marketing students graduate with a degree but no real portfolio, no real clients, and no real experience. We change that.
MIM covers the full spectrum of modern marketing — from brand strategy and content creation to paid media, analytics, and campaign strategy. If it moves a brand forward, we teach it. Everyone's welcome.
Every meeting, workshop, and event is designed to give you something tangible — a skill, a connection, or a piece of work for your portfolio. All talk and no show is not what we do.
See This Semester's Schedule →Learn how to build brands from the ground up — audience research, positioning, visual identity, and verbal voice. Apply it to your own personal brand first, then to real client work.
StrategyBuild content strategies, write copy that converts, shoot and edit on-brand content, and understand the algorithm. Leave every semester with real content in your portfolio.
ContentUnderstand Meta and Google ads, read real analytics reports, and make data-driven decisions. We demystify the numbers so you walk into any marketing role ready to perform.
GrowthCurated speaker events where real marketing professionals answer your real questions — no slides, no fluff. Build the relationships that open doors before graduation.
NetworkingThree pillars that guide everything we do — from how we run meetings to the work we create together.
Build real work, not just theory. Every member walks away from MIM at LSU with a portfolio of projects that demonstrate actual skill, creativity, and initiative — not just attendance.
Network with professionals, peers, and partners who are just as serious about marketing as you are. The relationships you build here are the ones that still matter five years after graduation.
Develop skills that translate directly to careers across the full marketing spectrum. We believe in learning by doing — not just watching, reading, or listening.
Minorities in Marketing at LSU was founded in 2026 by Da’Nyla Walker, a Marketing student at LSU, to create a space where students could do real marketing work — not just talk about it. MIM is open to every LSU student who is serious about brand, content, and what it actually takes to build a career in marketing.
Membership is free and open to all LSU students regardless of major, year, or experience level. All you need is a willingness to build something real.
Minorities in Marketing at LSU is growing, and we're looking to partner with organizations that believe in creating opportunities for the next generation of marketers. Sponsorship support helps us create events, programs, and experiences for LSU students while allowing our partners to be recognized as supporters of MIM.
